DNS settings for the Portability tool

Below you will find the DNS settings that need to be done for you to use our white label portability tool. These settings will allow you to present the tool as your own, and allows the tool to send emails on behalf of your email address, to your customers. Note that this tutorial should only be used if you own your own domain name. It will not work if you are using a 3rd party email service such as Google Free Mail, Yahoo, etc.

There are three DNS settings that need to be altered:

1. CNAME
2. SPF
3. DKIM

1. CNAME

The portability tool domain name is porting.multitel.net ; If your domain is "test123.com" and the subdomain that you wish to use for the portability tool will be "porting.test123.com", then you will need to create a CNAME record :

porting.test123.com. IN CNAME porting.multitel.net.

If you are using a graphical UI (cloudflare, for example) , it would look similar to this:



Note that if you are not using cloudflare, we will attempt to create a SSL certificate for your subdomain, using "letsencrypt". This is not guaranteed to work 100%.

2. SPF

If you already have a TXT SPF record in your DNS , please add the following, right after the initial "v=spf1 " part:

include:_spf.multitel.net

If you do not have a TXT SPF record, please add one, similar to this:

v=spf1 include:_spf.multitel.net ~all

3. DKIM

Please add the following TXT record in your DNS:
